The Peabody Park is a brand new, state of the art playground designed to capture not only a
child’s imagination but also exploration and discovery.
While Peabody Park has traditional playgrounds with swing sets and merry-go-rounds, the park
is specifically designed for children to make their own fun in an uninstructed play environment.
The park encompasses green space, underground tunnels, tube slide, climbing wall, splash
fountain, spacenet and “tree room”. Even the tunnels running through the hillsides are
child-sized, a sign that this is no park for adults.
Peabody Park does provide a new vantage point for parents who want to keep an eye on their
youngsters: the new, elevated Ozark Pavilion overlooks the play area, splash fountain and a
hillside stream, as well as the Arkansas River.
